Description

This Super Easy Peach Cobbler is a delightful and simple dessert that brings together a buttery, golden crust with the sweet, juicy goodness of peaches. Perfect for a quick dessert fix, this cobbler is best enjoyed warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 can (15 oz.) sliced peaches, drained

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare Baking Dish: Pour the melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish, ensuring it evenly coats the bottom.
  • Mix Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • Add Batter to Dish: Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  • Add Peaches: Arrange the drained peach slices evenly on top of the batter. The peaches will sink slightly into the batter during baking.
  • Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and the batter is set.
  • Serve: Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, perhaps with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle a little cinnamon or nutmeg over the peaches before baking.
  • You can substitute the canned peaches with fresh or frozen peaches, adjusting the sugar as needed.
