This Vampire Blood Drink is a fun, spooky addition to any Halloween party! It’s a creepy mix of sweet and sour flavors, and the presentation is what really steals the show. Think black sugar rims, drippy red gel, and eerie eyeball ice cubes. My kids love it, and every year they get a kick out of pretending it’s "vampire-approved."

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups Sprite
  • 1/4 cup grenadine
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 6 maraschino cherries
  • Black sugar sprinkles (Wilton)
  • Red food gel
  • Purple cotton candy
  • Creepy ice cubes (see notes)
  • Gummy eyes
  • Cherries or blueberries (for ice cubes)
  • Water (for ice cubes)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, mix together the Sprite, grenadine, and lime juice.
  2. Prepare the glass rims by pouring lime juice onto one plate and black sugar onto another.
  3. Dip the rim of each glass into the lime juice, followed by the black sugar.
  4. Drizzle red food gel over the sugar-coated rims, allowing it to drip down for a spooky effect.
  5. Fill the glasses with creepy ice cubes, then pour the cherry-flavored Sprite mixture all the way to the top.
  6. Add a big handful of purple cotton candy on top and place a straw in each glass.
  7. Cheers, and enjoy your spooky drink!

Notes

  • If you can’t find gummy eyeballs for the ice cubes, you can make your own spooky version by freezing water with cherries or blueberries inside the ice cubes.
  • The cotton candy will dissolve quickly, giving the drink a magical, eerie look.
