Description

These 3 Ingredient Strawberry Yogurt Bites are a refreshing, healthy, and easy-to-make snack perfect for warm days or anytime you crave a sweet treat. Made with only yogurt, fresh strawberries, and granola, these bite-sized frozen snacks combine creamy, fruity, and crunchy textures for a delightful experience. Ideal for a quick breakfast, snack, or dessert, they are simple to prepare and require no baking or cooking.

Ingredients

Scale

Yogurt Cups

  • ½ cup granola (more for topping)
  • 1 cup yogurt of choice
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced

Topping

  • ¾ cup fresh strawberries, sliced or chopped
  • ¼ cup granola (smaller pieces work better)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Line a 12-cup muffin pan with muffin liners or use a 12-cup silicone baking pan for easy removal of the yogurt bites.
  2. Add Granola Base: Sprinkle approximately 2 teaspoons of granola into the bottom of each cup to add a crunchy base layer. Set the pan aside.
  3. Mix Yogurt and Strawberries: In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt and diced strawberries. Using a pastry cutter or fork, gently mash the strawberries into the yogurt until mostly blended but still retaining some fruit chunks. Then stir and fold well using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon.
  4. Fill Cups: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the strawberry yogurt mixture evenly into each cup. Tap the pan gently to smooth out the layers for even freezing.
  5. Add Toppings: Press roughly 1 tablespoon or a slice of fresh strawberry into the top of each yogurt cup, then sprinkle about 1 teaspoon of granola over the strawberries for added texture.
  6. Freeze: Place the entire pan in the freezer and chill the cups until firm, approximately 2 to 4 hours.
  7. Serve: Once frozen, pop out each strawberry yogurt bite from the pan. Let them thaw for a few minutes to soften slightly before enjoying.

Notes

  • Store strawberry yogurt bites in an airtight, freezer-friendly container in the freezer for up to 1-2 months.
  • Allow frozen bites to thaw a few minutes before serving for best texture and flavor.
  • You can use any type of yogurt (Greek, regular, flavored, or plain) based on your preference.
  • Smaller granola pieces are preferable for the topping to maintain a pleasant bite size.
