Description

Melted Snowman Bark is a festive and fun holiday treat combining creamy white almond bark with crunchy golden Oreos, colorful gumdrops, and mini M&Ms to create adorable snowman faces. This no-bake candy bark is easy to make and perfect for holiday parties or gifting, featuring detailed decorations with icing for expressive eyes, mouths, and carrot noses.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 pound almond bark or white melting chocolate
  • 12 golden Oreo cookies

Decorations

  • 6 red and green gumdrops, cut in half
  • 1 Twizzler pull and peel, separated into individual pieces
  • 36 red and green mini M&Ms
  • Black cookie icing
  • Orange cookie icing

Instructions

  1. Melt the almond bark: In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each until it is completely melted and smooth.
  2. Prepare baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Using a spoon, place 12 dollops of the melted white chocolate spaced around the baking sheet where you want each snowman face.
  3. Place Oreo cookies: Top each dollop with a golden Oreo cookie, then cover each cookie with more melted white chocolate to encase them fully.
  4. Fill gaps with almond bark: Pour and spread the remaining melted almond bark to fill in all the spaces between and around the Oreos to create a uniform bark base.
  5. Add buttons: Place 3 mini M&Ms beneath each Oreo cookie to serve as the snowman’s buttons.
  6. Attach earmuffs: Position halved gumdrops on the sides of each cookie for earmuffs, then connect them with pieces of Twizzler pull and peel candy to create the earmuff band.
  7. Decorate faces: Use black icing to pipe dots for eyes and mouths, and orange icing to create small carrot-shaped noses on each snowman.
  8. Set the bark: Allow the bark to set at room temperature for a few hours or refrigerate for approximately 1 hour until firm.
  9. Cut into pieces: Dip a knife in hot water, wipe dry, and carefully cut the bark into individual snowman pieces for serving.

Notes

  • Almond bark sets quickly, so have all candy decorations ready and work swiftly when assembling the snowmen.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week to maintain freshness.
  • For faster setting, refrigeration is recommended, which sets the bark within 1 hour.
