Description

These adorable Pumpkin Oreo Balls are a fun and festive no-bake treat, perfect for fall celebrations or Halloween. Made with crushed Oreos and cream cheese, and coated in vibrant orange candy melts, they resemble mini pumpkins, complete with pretzel sticks as stems! They’re easy to make, and a hit with both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz orange candy melts
  • Small pretzel sticks (for stems)
  • Leaf icing decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Pulse Oreo cookies in a food processor until finely crumbled.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Shape into Balls: Scoop out 1-inch portions of the mixture and roll them into balls. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Score Pumpkin Lines: Use a toothpick to gently score lines into the Oreo balls to resemble pumpkins. Return the balls to the refrigerator for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Melt Candy Melts: While the Oreo balls chill, melt the orange candy melts according to the package directions, either over a double boiler or in the microwave.
  6. Dip in Candy Melts: Dip each Oreo ball into the melted candy, shake off the excess, and place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Decorate: Immediately after dipping, press a small pretzel stick into the top of each ball as the “pumpkin stem” and add a leaf icing decoration if desired.
  8. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the Oreo balls until the candy coating is set and they are ready to serve.

Notes

  • You can use green icing or fondant for the leaf decoration if you prefer not to use pre-made icing decorations.
  • Store the Pumpkin Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
