- 36 Oreos
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 16 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 48 crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
- Make Oreo Balls: Place the cream cheese and Oreos in a food processor and process until combined. Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll into 48 (1-inch) balls. Place the balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 20 minutes, or until hardened.
- Melt Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate with peppermint extract in the microwave at 30-second increments, stirring between each one.
- Coat and Decorate: Once melted, dip each ball in the chocolate with a fork, scraping the bottom. Roll in crushed peppermint candies and place the ball back on the parchment paper.
- Chill and Serve: Let the chocolate set completely before serving.
Notes
- Chocolate: You can use any type of melting chocolate you like, but white chocolate is recommended for this recipe.
- Peppermint Extract: Adjust the amount of peppermint extract to your liking.
- Freezing: Freezing the Oreo balls helps them to firm up and makes them easier to dip in the chocolate.
- Storage: Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
