- 6 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 10 chicken drumsticks
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
- 2 scallions, diced
Serving Suggestion

Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together the honey, low-sodium soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper to create a flavorful marinade.
- Marinate the Chicken: Season the chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper. Place them into a Ziploc bag, pour the marinade over the drumsticks, seal the bag removing as much air as possible, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to infuse thoroughly.
- Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius) ensuring it’s fully preheated before baking.
- Arrange and Bake: Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and lay the marinated drumsticks out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 35 minutes, basting every 10 minutes with the remaining marinade to keep the chicken moist and flavorful. Bake until an internal thermometer registers 165ºF (74ºC) at the thickest part of the drumsticks.
- Garnish and Serve: Once baked, sprinkle the chicken with toasted sesame seeds and diced scallions. Serve hot alongside Pineapple Coconut Rice for a complete and delicious meal.
