Description

These bite-sized cracker sandwiches combine savory ham and melted Swiss cheese, nestled between buttery Ritz crackers. Perfect for parties, snacks, or game-day gatherings, these little melts are bursting with flavor and easy to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 48 Ritz crackers
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Assemble Crackers:

  1. Arrange half of the Ritz crackers (24 crackers) in a 9×13-inch baking dish, flat side down.

Add Ham and Cheese:

  1. Tear the ham slices into small strips and place a piece on top of each cracker.
  2. Cut the Swiss cheese into small, 1-inch squares and place one piece on top of the ham.
  3. Top each with another Ritz cracker to form mini sandwiches.

Prepare the Butter Mixture:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir well.
  2. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top of the cracker sandwiches.

Add Toppings:

  1. Sprinkle the poppy seeds and minced onion evenly over the crackers.

Bake:

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the cracker tops are golden brown.

Serve:

  1. Serve the cracker melts warm and enjoy as a savory snack or appetizer!

Notes

  • You can substitute other cheeses like cheddar or provolone if you prefer.
  • This recipe can easily be doubled for larger gatherings.
