Mushrooms
- 1 pound Cremini or Baby Bella mushrooms, quartered
Seasoning & Cooking
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 large garlic cloves, minced
- Chopped fresh Italian parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Toss Mushrooms: In a large bowl, toss the quartered mushrooms with olive oil, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper to evenly coat and season them.
- Melt Butter and Sauté Garlic: Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and foaming. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
- Cook Mushrooms: Add the seasoned mushrooms to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes to allow the mushrooms to caramelize evenly and develop rich flavor and color.
- Garnish and Serve: Once cooked through and nicely browned, remove from heat, garnish with freshly chopped Italian parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh mushrooms and avoid washing them directly with water; instead, wipe them clean with a damp cloth to prevent sogginess.
- Adjust garlic quantity according to your taste preference.
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
- Can be served as a side dish or atop toasted bread for a savory snack.
