Description

Whipped Brie is a creamy, elegant appetizer featuring smooth, whipped Brie cheese topped with tangy cranberry sauce, sweet honey, crunchy pistachios, and fragrant rosemary. Served with toasted baguette slices, this recipe is perfect for entertaining or elevating simple gatherings with a delightful blend of textures and flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Whipped Brie Mixture

  • 8 ounces Brie cheese, cold

Toppings & Garnish

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons cranberry sauce (homemade or canned whole berry)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped roasted and salted pistachios
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish (optional)

For Serving

  • Toasted baguette slices

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brie: While the Brie is still cold, carefully trim away and discard the rind. Cut the Brie into small cubes and allow it to come to room temperature for approximately 1 hour to ensure easier blending.
  2. Whip the Brie: Place the Brie cubes into a food processor. Blend continuously, scraping down the sides as needed, until the mixture becomes supremely creamy and smooth, resembling a whipped spread.
  3. Assemble the Platter: Spread the whipped Brie evenly onto a serving plate. Spoon the cranberry sauce into the center of the Brie spread, then drizzle honey over the top to add sweetness.
  4. Add Crunch and Garnish: Scatter the chopped roasted and salted pistachios over the cranberry and honey. Finish by decorating with a few sprigs or pieces of fresh rosemary to impart aroma and visual appeal.
  5. Serve: Present the whipped Brie alongside toasted baguette slices for dipping and spreading. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • TO STORE: Refrigerate the whipped Brie in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Before serving, remove from refrigerator and let stand at room temperature for at least 1 hour. Note that leftover Brie may not be as fluffy but will still be delicious.
  • You can substitute cranberry sauce with your favorite jam or preserves to customize the sweetness and flavor.
  • Make sure to toast the baguette slices until golden brown and crisp to provide a perfect contrast in texture.
