Description

Delight in festive sweetness with these Christmas Tree Cake Truffles. Made from crumbled vanilla Christmas tree cakes mixed with cream cheese and coated in creamy white chocolate, these bite-sized treats are decorated with red drizzle and green sanding sugar to resemble holiday trees. Perfect for holiday parties or gifting, these no-bake truffles combine creamy, crunchy, and sweet textures in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 10 vanilla Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

Coating & Decoration

  • 12 oz almond bark or white chocolate candy melts
  • Red food coloring
  • Green sanding sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to keep the truffles from sticking.
  2. Crumble the Cake: Place the 10 vanilla Christmas Tree Cakes into a large mixing bowl and crumble them thoroughly to create fine crumbs.
  3. Combine with Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the crumbled cakes. Using a hand mixer, beat the mixture until well combined and it forms a smooth, dough-like consistency.
  4. Shape the Truffles: Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into smooth balls with your hands. Place each ball onto the prepared baking sheet. Freeze these balls for 30 minutes or until they harden. After chilling, roll them between your palms again to smooth out any imperfections.
  5. Melt the Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the almond bark or white chocolate candy melts. Stir every 30 seconds until completely melted and smooth.
  6. Coat the Truffles: Using a fork, dip each chilled cake ball fully into the melted white chocolate, tapping off any excess chocolate before placing them back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Create the Red Drizzle: Add a few drops of red food coloring to some extra melted white chocolate. Mix to achieve your desired color intensity. Drizzle this red chocolate over each coated truffle using a fork or a piping bag.
  8. Decorate: Immediately sprinkle green sanding sugar over the red drizzle while the coating is still wet to add a festive sparkle.
  9. Set and Serve: Allow the truffles to set completely until the coating is firm. Serve chilled or store in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • If almond bark or white chocolate candy melts are unavailable, you can substitute with high-quality white chocolate chips.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing and a smooth dough consistency.
  • While freezing helps set the truffles quickly, refrigerating overnight will also work if you prefer.
  • For easier dipping, warm the chocolate in short intervals to avoid overheating and seizing.
  • These truffles should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consumed within 5 days.
