Description

Celebrate the festive season with these delightful Christmas Oreos, beautifully decorated with white and green melting chocolate to resemble Christmas trees. Each Oreo is half-dipped in creamy white chocolate, decorated with piped green chocolate to form a tree silhouette, topped with candy star toppers, and accented with chocolate jimmies as tree trunks. This fun and easy no-bake treat is perfect for holiday parties, kids’ snacks, or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookies

  • 15 Oreo Cookies

White Chocolate Coating

  • 6 oz White Melting Chips

Green Chocolate Decorations

  • 3 oz Green Melting Wafers

Decorations

  • 15 Candy Stars (tree toppers)
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate Jimmies (optional, for tree trunks)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the workspace. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set it aside to keep dipped Oreos from sticking.
  2. Melt the white chocolate. Place the white melting chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Dip the Oreos. Holding each Oreo, dip it halfway into the melted white chocolate and place it on the prepared parchment paper-lined pan to set.
  4. Melt the green chocolate wafers. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the green melting wafers by heating for 30 seconds and stirring, repeating until smooth and completely melted.
  5. Prepare the green chocolate for piping. Transfer the melted green chocolate to a piping bag or a resealable zipper bag. Cut a very small opening in the tip of the bag for fine decorating control.
  6. Decorate the Oreos. Using a gentle back-and-forth motion, pipe a green Christmas tree shape on the half-dipped white chocolate section of each Oreo.
  7. Add the finishing touches. Place a candy star at the top of each piped tree, and optionally add chocolate jimmies along the base to form a trunk.

Notes

  • If using white chocolate chips instead of melting chips, add 1 teaspoon of shortening to help with melting and smoothness. The chocolate may take longer to harden.
  • You can customize the designs on top of the Oreos to your liking using various decorations or piping patterns.
  • For a fuller coverage, you may choose to fully dip the Oreos instead of just halfway.
  • If the melting chocolates thicken, add a small amount of shortening to thin them out for easier dipping and piping.
  • Use a piping bag or a resealable zipper bag with a small corner cut off to pipe the delicate tree details accurately.
