Description

Delightful Christmas Marshmallow Pops featuring three marshmallows on each lollipop stick, dipped in smooth Ghirardelli chocolate and decorated with festive red, white, and green candy melts. A fun and easy holiday treat to make and share.

Ingredients

Scale

Marshmallow Pops

  • 24 Regular Sized Marshmallows
  • 8 Lollipop Sticks

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup Ghirardelli Chocolate Melting Wafers or Chocolate Chips

Decorative Candy Melts

  • 20 Red Candy Melts
  • 20 Bright White Candy Melts
  • 20 Green Candy Melts

Instructions

  1. Prepare Marshmallow Skewers: For each marshmallow pop, select 3 marshmallows of approximately the same size and skewer them onto a lollipop stick carefully to form a stack.
  2. Melt Chocolate Coating: Place 20-25 chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, then continue microwaving in 10-second increments, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is almost fully melted and smooth.
  3. Dip Marshmallows: Using a spoon, coat the skewered marshmallows with the melted chocolate, ensuring even coverage. Smooth out the chocolate over the marshmallows for a neat finish.
  4. Cool and Harden: Set the dipped marshmallow pops aside to cool completely, allowing the chocolate coating to harden fully.
  5. Melt Candy Melts: Separately melt 15-20 red, bright white, and green candy melts by placing each color in individual Ziploc bags and microwaving until melted. Carefully cut the tips of the bags to prepare for drizzling.
  6. Decorate Pops: Alternately drizzle the melted red, white, and green candy melts over the chocolate-coated marshmallow pops to create festive stripes and patterns.
  7. Final Set: Allow the decorative drizzle to harden completely before storing the marshmallow pops in an airtight container to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • The chocolate melting process is best done in short bursts with stirring to prevent burning.
  • You can substitute Ghirardelli wafers with any high-quality chocolate melting wafers or chips.
  • Be sure to let the chocolate and candy melts harden fully to avoid smudging during storage.
  • Store marshmallow pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Use parchment paper or a silicone mat to place the dipped pops during cooling for easy removal.
