Description

This Chicken Cordon Bleu Stromboli is a delightful twist on the classic dish, combining savory deli ham, tender shredded chicken, and Swiss cheese, all rolled up in a golden, buttery crust. Perfect for an easy dinner or a hearty appetizer, this stromboli is sure to impress.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 tube (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
  • 4 thin slices deli ham
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Roasted garlic Alfredo sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
  2. Prepare the Crust: Unroll the refrigerated pizza crust onto the prepared baking sheet, stretching it slightly if needed to form an even rectangle.
  3. Layer Ingredients: Place the thin slices of deli ham evenly over the pizza crust, leaving a small border around the edges. Next, evenly distribute the shredded cooked chicken over the ham. Finally, layer the slices of Swiss cheese on top of the chicken.
  4. Roll the Stromboli: Starting from one of the long sides, carefully roll up the crust, tucking in the ends as you go. Pinch the seams and edges to seal the Stromboli tightly.
  5. Brush with Butter: Brush the top of the rolled Stromboli with melted butter to give it a golden, crispy crust.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the Stromboli is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve: Let the Stromboli cool for a few minutes before slicing it into portions. Serve warm with roasted garlic Alfredo sauce on the side for dipping, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sprinkle the top with some grated Parmesan cheese before baking.
  • This dish pairs well with a simple side salad or steamed vegetables.
