These Cheesy Taco Sticks are a fun, handheld snack packed with seasoned beef and gooey cheese. Wrapped in soft pizza dough and brushed with a garlic butter glaze, they’re perfect for dipping in salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.

- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 tube Pillsbury Pizza Dough
- 5 colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Cook the Beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat. - Add Taco Seasoning:
Add the taco seasoning to the beef, following the packet instructions. Stir well to combine and set the mixture aside. - Prepare the Dough:
Roll out the Pillsbury Pizza Dough on a floured surface. Cut the dough into 10 equal rectangles. - Assemble the Taco Sticks:
Spoon some of the seasoned ground beef onto each rectangle. Place a halved cheese stick on top of the beef. Roll the dough around the beef and cheese, pinching the edges to seal them tightly. - Brush with Butter:
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush the butter mixture over the top of each taco stick. - Bake:
Place the taco sticks on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked. - Cool and Serve:
Let the cheesy taco sticks cool slightly before serving. Serve with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream for dipping if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a dash of hot sauce or diced jalapeños to the ground beef mixture.
- You can also use different types of cheese sticks like mozzarella for variety.
- These taco sticks are great for freezing! Prepare them as directed, but instead of baking, freeze them in a single layer. Bake from frozen for about 20 minutes.
