- 1 can of buttermilk biscuits
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Icing:
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking pan or skillet with butter or non-stick spray.
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Mix: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Coat Biscuits: Dip each biscuit in the melted butter, then coat it with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Arrange the coated biscuits in the prepared pan.
- Prepare Apple Filling: Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces. Mix the chopped apples with the vanilla extract and spoon the mixture evenly over the arranged biscuits.
- Add Remaining Toppings: Drizzle any remaining butter over the top of the biscuits and sprinkle with any leftover cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare Icing: While the biscuits are baking, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar and milk to make the icing.
- Finish and Serve: Once the biscuits are done baking, drizzle the icing over the top while they are still warm. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of chopped nuts or raisins to the apple pie filling.
- These biscuits are best served warm but can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
