Ingredients
Scale
Seasoning for the Fries
- 2 tablespoons Paprika
- 2 teaspoons Chili powder
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
Main Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 1 bag Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Fast Food Fries
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 packet Taco seasoning
- 1 can Refried beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can Ricos Gourmet Nacho Cheese (or alternative cheese sauce)
- 1 cup Guacamole
- 1 cup Sour cream
- 1 cup Pico de Gallo
- 1 cup Chipotle sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the Fry Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine paprika, chili powder, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and optional cayenne pepper. Stir well until the mixture is evenly blended and set aside.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook, stirring occasionally, until no pink remains. Drain excess grease. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the meat and add ¼ cup water. Stir to combine and remove from heat.
- Fry the French Fries: In a separate pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F over medium heat. Carefully add the frozen French fries in batches to prevent overcrowding. Fry for about 7 minutes, turning frequently to ensure even cooking, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Heat Cheese and Beans: While fries are cooking, heat the nacho cheese sauce and refried beans separately in microwave-safe dishes until warm. Set aside.
- Drain and Season Fries: Once fries are cooked to your liking, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat with remaining fries. Transfer fries to a large bowl, sprinkle the prepared seasoning over them, and toss until evenly coated.
- Assemble the Nacho Fries: Place the seasoned fries on a serving plate. Layer evenly with warm nacho cheese sauce, refried beans, ground beef taco meat, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, and chipotle sauce to complete the 7 layers.
Notes
- Fry the French fries on the crispier side for sturdiness to hold the toppings without becoming soggy.
- For variety, substitute waffle fries or thick-cut potato wedges instead of standard fast food fries.
